French Fries (Fried Method)

Instructions

  • Peel potatoes if desired. Cut potato lengthwise into 1/4 inch slices. Place slices flat on the cutting board and cut into 1/4 inch French Fries
  • Place French Fries in large bowl of water and rinse them repeatedly until the water is clear
  • Thoroughly dry the French Fries (Note: make sure they are completely dry)
  • Heat Large Pot of Vegetable Oil to 300°F. Working in small batches, place French Fries in the oil for about 4 minutes until tender. (Note: if they start to turn brown, the oil is too hot.) Remove and place on paper towels or paper grocery bag. Continue to work in batches until they are all cooked.
  • Turn up the oil to 400°F. Working in small batches, place French Fries in the oil until they reach the desired color. (Note: they can cook fast).
  • Remove from the oil and place on paper towels or paper grocery bag. Salt/season immediately.
