Few things are cooler than being able to cook alongside one of the Greatest TV Chefs of all time! So gracious and generous, Graham Kerr (a/k/a “The Galloping Gourmet”) made me feel right at home as he shows us how to make one of his favorite healthy breakfasts, Purple Porridge.

Ingredients

SO WHAT YOU'RE GONNA NEED IS:

- (1/4) cup Rolled Oats: Available Here

- (1/4) cup Dried Fruit: Available Here

- (2) Tablespoons Mixed Nuts (chopped): Available Here

- (1) cup 1% Milk: Available Here

- (1/4) cup Fresh or Frozen Berries: Available Here and/or Available Here

- (2) Tablespoons Vanilla or Plain Yogurt: Available Here

YOU'LL ALSO NEED:

- Small Saucepan: Available Here

- Measuring Cups: Available Here

- Measuring Spoons: Available Here

- Nut Grinder (optional): Available Here

Instructions

  1. In small Saucepan, add Rolled Oats, Dried Fruit and Chopped Mixed Nuts. (You can do this the night before if you like)
  2. When ready to make the Porridge, add 1% Milk and Fresh or Frozen Berries.
  3. Cover Saucepan. Turn on stove to Low – Medium Low, depending on your stove.
  4. Cook for 15-30 minutes, until begins to bubble and the viscosity of the Porridge stands up on a spoon.
  5. Serve in bowl and top with a spoonful of cold Yogurt
