Bourbon Street Glazed Carrots

These Bourbon Street Glazed Carrots are a little sweet, a little spicy!  Let the good times roll! Laissez les bons temps rouler!  

Ingredients

SO WHAT YOU'RE GONNA NEED IS:

- (1/2) lb. Carrots: Available Here

- (2) Tablespoons Butter: Available Here

- (1/4) cup Maker’s Mark Bourbon Whiskey: Available Here

- (1/4) cup Brown Sugar: http://amzn.to/2nLXSyM

- (1/8) teaspoon Thyme: Available Here

- (1/2) teaspoon Red Wine Vinegar: Available Here

- (To taste) Cayenne Pepper: Available Here

- (To taste) Salt: Available Here

- (To taste) Pepper: Available Here

- (Garnish) Flat Leaf Parsley: Available Here

YOU'LL ALSO NEED:

- 12” Frying Pan: Available Here

- Tongs: Available Here

- Vegetable Peeler: Available Here

- Sharp Knife: Available Here

Instructions

  1. Peel Carrots with Vegetable Peeler. Cut off the ends and tips and cut Carrots into 2 inch segments.  If they are large Carrots, cut lengthwise in halves or quarters. 
  2. Add 1 Tablespoon of butter to a Frying Pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Let Butter melt and add Carrots. Cook until Carrots start to caramelize on all sides.
  4. Add Red Wine Vinegar and Bourbon. Let reduce by half.
  5. Add remaining Tablespoon of Butter and Brown Sugar. Cook until Brown Sugar dissolves.
  6. Add cayenne pepper.

Plate them up, garnishing with chopped flat-leaf parsley.
