Bacon Blistered Shrimp and Green Beans

Bacon.  Blistered.  Shrimp.  Yum!  Add some charred Green Beans, sweetened soy sauce and a shake or two of hot red pepper and you got yourself one crazy fusion dish on your hands…and in your belly!  

Ingredients

SO WHAT YOU'RE GONNA NEED IS:

- (8) Large Shrimp, peeled: Available Here

- (1/2) lb. Green Beans: Available Here

- (3) strips Bacon: Available Here

- (5) cloves Garlic: Available Here

- (1) small Shallot: Available Here

- (2) teaspoons Avocado Oil: Available Here

- (1) Tablespoon Soy Sauce: Available Here

- (1) teaspoon Sugar: Available Here

- (To taste) Salt: Available Here

- (To taste) Pepper: Available Here

- (To taste) Red Pepper Flakes: Available Here

YOU'LL ALSO NEED:

- Medium Frying Pan: Available Here

- Tongs: Available Here

- Sharp Knife: Available Here

Instructions

Prepare Ingredients

  1. Prepare Green Beans by cutting off both tips.
  2. Mince Shallot.
  3. Cut Garlic Clove in half.
  4. Roughly chop Bacon.
  5. Wash and Dry Shrimp. Season with Salt and Pepper on both sides.
  6. In small bowl, combine Soy Sauce and Sugar. Give it a mix.

Take it to the Stove:

  1. In frying pan over Medium heat, add bacon. Render the bacon (let the fat start to melt away from the meat of the bacon).
  2. Add Shallots and Garlic. Cook until the Shallots and Garlic start to soften.  Put everything to the side of the pan
  3. Add the Shrimp and cook for about 45 seconds to a minute on each side.
  4. Mix everything in the pan together and let cook for about 30 seconds more.
  5. Remove Shrimp and Bacon mixture from the pan.
  6. Turn up heat to medium-high.
  7. Add Avocado Oil.
  8. Add Green Beans and cook until they blister and char.
  9. Turn off the heat. Let cool for about a minute.  Add the Soy Sauce and Sugar. 
  10. Add back the Shrimp and Bacon mixture, mix and serve!
